Polyimide heater uses polyimide polymer. This material, in film form, offers manydesign features such as excellent dielectric strength in very thin cross sections(3,000 volts per mil). BEEHE offers etched foil heaters insulated in polyimidepolymer with two different bonding systems, FEP and acrylic bonds. The FEP hasa temperature capability of up to 500°F and the acrylic is capable of temperaturesof 250°F. Polyimide heaters offer many design opportunities and canbe combined in assemblies along with sensors, wiring harnesses and connectorsto provide our customers with assemblies ready to install in their equipment. Polyimide heaters can be installed with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA). They canalso be FEP or acrylic bonded directly to heat sinks at the factory.
